| Author Bio| Mary Jo Putney | | Mary Jo Putney was born and raised in upstate New York. After earning degrees in English literature and industrial design at Syracuse University, she worked for a number of years as a graphic designer. While the world of literature and writers had been hers for the taking in college, it had never occurred to her that she might actually become a writer until she purchased a personal computer for her home in Baltimore, Maryland.
